Gazprom, Wintershall Dea to launch 5A Urengoiskoye block soon

MOSCOW, Feb 24 (PRIME) -- Achim Development, a joint venture between Russian gas giant Gazprom and Wintershall Dea, will start the launch and adjustment works on 5A block of Achimov formations of the Urengoiskoye field soon, Wintershall Dea CEO Mario Mehren said on Wednesday.

"We started production atAchim Development, the latest joint venture with Gazprom, several weeks ago. We launched 4A block of the Urengoiskoye field. We will start the launch and adjustment works on 5A block in a few months," Mehren said.

Reserves of the 4A and 5A blocks only within the license area of Gazprom Dobycha Urengoi exceed 1 trillion cubic meters of gas and 400 million tonnes of condensate under the C1 category.
